AFOSA IS HORRIFIED TO HEAR OF MALMESBURY MOSQUE ATTACK

Salaam
On this last day of Ramadaan, when Muslims have fasted an entire month with the purpose of strengthening their Taqwa or consciousness of Almighty Allah and purifying their souls and now look forward to their reward of celebrating their return to their "pure nature or fitra" on the Day of Eid, AFOSA is horrified to have received the tragic news of an attack on Mussalies (worshippers) at the MALMESBURY MOSQUE in the early hours of this morning.
It is believed that two people have been brutally murdered in the attack who had been spending these last days of the Holy Month of Ramadaan participating in the very praiseworthy worship of I'tikaf or seclusion in the Mosque.
AFOSA condemns this horrendous attack in the strongest possible terms that can be expressed in words.
“And who is more unjust than he who prevents the mosques of Allah of His Name being remembered therein and strives for their ruin?” (Surah 2:114)
We are ALL duty bound to protect the Mosques and all places of worship and must unite to prevent the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (sawa), who is a Mercy unto all the world's, from very fast sliding down this slippery slope into an abyss.
AFOSA extends it's sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased and pray that Almighty Allah receives the souls of the victims into His Infinite Mercy.
With Salaams and Duas
