During the lifetime of Rasulullah (SAWA), the job of the compilation of the Holy Quran was conducted. This is what everyone agrees.

We now move our discussion to part 2 of History of the Quran which relates to the “protection and compilation” of the Quran.

One opinion says that the Quran was only revealed once when it started with the first 5 verses of Surah Alaq and was gradually revealed over a period of time and this same process of revelation completed after 23 years.

For this “wahi” to materialize, it requires a great deal of capacity within the recipient of the “wahi” and thus this type of “wahi” is not possible to be received by everyone.

When we use the term Wahi in Islamic terminology, it refers to the connection between the Prophets (a.s) and Almighty Allah (SWT), with the purpose of receiving the Divine Message

We are now moving to the very interesting and informative discussion in the Quran about how it was revealed.
