In these sad days of the mourning of the martyrdom of our Master Imam Husayn (a.s) his family & companions, we received the sorrowful news of the passing away of a great man of integrity, unwavering commitment to propagation of Islam and immense love for Ahlulbait (as) “Al Haaj Mohammed Taqi Ansariyan”.
An individual who is considered a pioneer in promoting the School of Ahlulbait (as) from his simple bookshop in one of the side streets of the city of Qum. For almost five decades he was actively engaged in the field of translating and publishing religious texts from Persian/Arabic to Arabic, English, Urdu, Turkish, Swahili, Hausa etc. His publications primarily centred on books of Ideology, Ethics, Religious Practices, Historical events & infallible personalities, Supplications etc according to the School of AB (as).
He quickly realised the potential of foreign students in the seminary of Qum and thus engaged them in his projects. The network that he established also enabled him to successfully promote and distribute his publications worldwide. Thus, Ansariyan Publications became an international brand for translated works, thereby successfully participating in international book exhibitions. His bookshop was always frequented by visiting scholars, students, and Za’ireen of Syeda Ma’suma (as) who were keen to know of any new translations or publications that they may acquire for their return journey.
Ahlul Bait Foundation of South Africa extends its sincere condolences to the Respected family of Marhoum Ansariyan especially the sons Br Alhaj Hamid & Hujjatul islam Sh Muhammed Husayn Ansariyan as well as broader respected Bani Hashmi & Ibn ur Redha families and pray that Almighty Allah receives him into His Infinite Mercy and raises his status among his Awliya and places him in the close company of Prophet Muhammad (sawa) and the Holy Ahlul Bait (a.s)
