Ahlul Bait (a.s) Foundation of South Africa is saddened by the news of the passing away of a foremost scholar of Cape Town, Sheikh Seraj Hendricks of the Azzavia Institute. 

Sheikh Seraj was an academic of note who was involved, among other in the Madina Institute and University of Johannesburg, was a jurist and spiritual leader within various Sufi Tariqas and part of a family tradition of scholars dating back over 100 years. 

In keeping with his spiritual outlook, AFOSA experienced for the past 30 years that this noble soul was consistently beyond sectarian.

May Almighty Allah receive him into His Infinite Mercy and grant him Jannatul Firdous Insha’allah.
