DEAREST SAYID MURTADHA MURTADHA
It is with a very deep sense of sadness that AHLUL BAIT (A.S) FOUNDATION OF SOUTH AFRICA (AFOSA) received the news of the passing away of your beloved Brother Ayatullah Sayid Jafar Murtadha.
During these days when we commemorate the sad passing away from this material world of the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah (sawa) together with the commemoration of the martyrdom of the 8th Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Rida (a.s), it is our sincere prayer that Almighty Allah elevates the status of Ayatullah Sayid Jafar by placing him in close proximity to his Holy forefathers.
The sad passing away of Prophet Muhammad (sawa) also reminds us of the conditions under which he passed away and how his real legacy was not authentically preserved, neither was it the case of the legacy of the Holy Household of Prophet Muhammad (sawa).
It is perhaps no coincidence that the outstanding service for which Ayatullah Sayid Jafar is foremost remembered for is his contribution in the field of preserving Islamic History and his authoring of what is considered to be one of the best biographies of the Holy Prophet (sawa) in 35 volumes and the monumental biography of Imam Ali (a.s) in 53 volumes and that of Imam Hussain (a.s) in 24 volumes.
These academic works will be appreciated for centuries to come due to his passion in defending the truth and meticulously answering misconceptions and objections regarding the Holy Household.
May Almighty Allah bless his soul and grant you comfort in the knowledge that Marhoom lived a life dedicated in service to the Holy Ahlul Bait (a.s).
“Verily from Allah we come and to Him is our return”.
Al-Fatiha
