A Great Leader, Academic, Thinker,
Herald of Islamic Unity &
Devout Lover of the Ahlulbait (as) passes away…

Tuesday, 06 August 2019

It is with great sadness that AHLUL BAIT (A.S) FOUNDATION OF SOUTH AFRICA received the news of the passing away of a great Aalim and Marja who was the foremost leader of the Followers of the School of Ahlul Bait (a.s) in Afghanistan.

He was a student of Grand Ayatullah al-Hakim and Grand Ayatullah al-Khui and was known for his insightful discussions and fresh perspectives in the Hadith Sciences and Fiqh and for authoring over 100 scholarly works.

Besides his great academic contribution, Marhoum played a pivotal role in the contemporary socio-political history of Afghanistan. From the establishment of the “Islamic Movement of Afghanistan” while combating Soviet occupation to the establishment of a cohesive unified Afghan Society after years of contending against Extremism of the likes of the Taliban as well as the aggression and occupation of Western powers, Ayatullah Sheikh Muhsini presented a resolute example of leadership for his country.

He was also known for his extreme piety which was apparent when he would discuss matters relating to the Divine.

On the occasion of this great loss, AFOSA extends its heartfelt condolences to the Grand Mara’je, the great brave Afghani Nation and the Muslim Ummah.

May Almighty Allah receive him into His Infinite Mercy and place him in the proximity of the Prophet and Ahlul Bait (a.s), Insha’Allah, Ameen.

“Verily from Allah do we come and to Him is our return.”
