AHLUL BAIT FOUNDATION OF SOUTH AFRICA (AFOSA) received the sorrowful news of the passing away earlier this evening of the former President of the Muslim Judicial Council, Mowlana Ihsaan Hendricks.
The highly respected leader will be fondly remembered for his passion for the Palestinian cause, his visionary leadership, his promotion of Islamic Unity locally and internationally which superseded intra faith dialogue and his historic speech during Muharram approximately 10 years ago at the former Ahlul Bait (a.s) Islamic Centre in Ottery.
These values endured up to his last days when we visited the respected Mowlana in hospital.
The Muslim community has certainly suffered a great loss today.
May Almighty Allah receive him into his Infinite Mercy and grant him Jannatul Firdous, Insha’allah.
